Amargasaurus
Trying to pull a knitted sweater over its long spiny neck
Trying to pull a knitted sweater over its long spiny neck, the collar gently snagging on the paired neck spines. The real Amargasaurus (say it ah-MAR-gah-SORE-us) lived in the Early Cretaceous — a small sauropod with a double row of spines down its neck, unlike any other. Painted in the Storybook style: soft gouache and colored pencil over an anatomically careful drawing — gentle enough for a nursery, accurate enough for a classroom. Matte vinyl with a protective laminate — it survives water bottles, dishwashers and about three years of direct sun.
