Corythosaurus
On hold
Holding a phone receiver to its crest, twirling the cord. Sun variant: disc wrapped in a coiled telephone cord. The real Corythosaurus (say it koh-RITH-oh-SORE-us) lived in the Late Cretaceous — its helmet-shaped crest was a hollow resonating chamber for low calls. Drawn in the Kaiju Sunrise style: dense ink, hot vermillion and pink, halftone skies and woodblock waves, like a 1970s Japanese monster poster shrunk to vinyl. Matte vinyl with a protective laminate — it survives water bottles, dishwashers and about three years of direct sun.
